WordSPA is a ministry of personal expansion through the spiritual catalyst of poetry

We believe with Mary Oliver, that “Poetry is a life-cherishing force. For poems are not words, after all, but fires for the cold, ropes let down to the lost, something as necessary as bread in the pockets of the hungry.” Through poetry, we enter into the moment in a spirit of fun, of hope, and of gratitude for what is--the daily grind and the sacred. We welcome you to this pace for both diving deep and resting awhile.

This acrostic poem/prayer that spells out “Tree of Life” is, of course, a response to the shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh. I think it’s a stunning response…lovely, open-hearted, and I loved praying it in solidarity with the victims and the bereaved. Please share if you are…
