Link: Reading an Anthology of Chinese Poems of the Sung Dynasty, I Pause To Admire the Length and… – What a terrific gathering we had today at Cuyahoga County Public Library! kudos to Laurie Kincer for inviting me to lead a circle on Billy Collins’ poems. We called the session 100 Kinds of Silence–a line from a poem Collins wrote called “Grave” that sparked fascinating reflections among participants. We also read aloud and shared mindful conversation on his poems Litany, “Forgetfulness”, and not to be missed was “Reading An Anthology Of Chinese Poems Of The Sung Dynasty, I Pause To Admire The Length And Clarity Of Their Titles.”” You can read this last poem on the site below as well as many little gems by Collins, who always makes me laugh at myself while he laughs at himself…and maybe he’s laughing at me too? a bit? I can live with that!
